Gizzeria Lido is a lovely beach resort town with a very long white sandy beach.
It is situated in a very attractive and authentic setting - the only buildings visible from the beach are period properties.
Gizzeria lido is a resort that has become quite popular. There are many facilities on offer nearby as you would expect.
For those visiting there is very good parking and the beach itself is very accessible.
Tropea - general information
Tropea is a beautiful town on the south Tyrrhenian coast. Stunning Tropea rises out of the promontory of Monte Poro - this lies between the two gulfs of Gioia and Sant'Eufemia.
Gazing out over the stunning sea it has incredible rock formations: "La Pizzuta", "Formicoli", "San Leonardo" and "Isola Bella".
White, sandy beaches line the coast varied with creeks and valleys and fertile, rippling hills full of fruit and citrus fruit trees, onion and vegetable fields, lime trees, bougainvillaea, verbena, jasmine and other sweet-smelling Mediterranean plants.
A part from the limpid, unpolluted sea, Tropea itself has a fascinating historical and artistic profile, thanks to its patrician houses with their impressive entrances adorned by capitals with frescoes by important artists and to the numerous, ancient churches rich in sacred images recalling peculiar local legends. Its typical little deserted squares, reachable only by way of narrow alleyways and populated by mythical ghosts, take us back to the days of the Saracen invasions. Tropea, also, received a "five-sail" for the top 10 rating from Legambiente which uses 128 parameters for its yearly quality test. Ratings also take into account natural beauty, contamination but also tourist structures, noise levels and environment-friendly waste systems.

Lamezia Terme - general information
With beautiful romantic rocky bays and sandy beaches, Lamezia Terme is untouched and unspoilt. Lamezia is one of the most important commercial centres of Calabria. This fertile region produces wine, strawberries, olives, aubergines, wheat and beets. Not to be missed are the old Greek and Roman artefacts in the archaeological museum, such as the famous Bronzi di Riace - two huge statues of Greek warriors dating from the 5th century B.C. Sambiase is famous for its thermal baths at the spa of Caronte. Lamezia is also close to Tropea - the coastal strip of Calabria, which is often referred to as the capital of relaxation because of its white beaches and crystal clear water.
The airport at Lamezia Terme can be reached by car within a 15-20 minute drive from Residencial La Brezza. The airport growing, already taking direct international flights from around the world in 2011 it is to have a new low cost carriers terminal constructed starting in 2012. A host of low cost airlines are taking up routes. Ryanair in April 2011 declared its intention to use Lamezia Terme as a key strategic hub rather than as just a destination airport.
