Ryanairs much heralded direct flight schedule from London Stanstead to Lamezia Therme International Airport (SUF) , Calabria was unveiled today on their website.   Passengers can choose departure days of  Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Sunday with departure times ranging conveniently from mid-morning until late afternoon.

The beautiful region of Calabria, until recently quite isolated from the world and the rest of Italy is becoming increasingly well connected.  For UK travellers in particualr these new flights come off the back of Monarch Airlines recent introduction of direct flights from Gatwick.

Ryanairs flights are priced from £29.  Confirmation was received that a new low cost carriers terminal is to be constructed at Lamezia Therme airport with the addition also of a  further 500 car parking spaces.   Passenger numbers were up approximately 20% for the airport last year leading to the planned expansion.

The areas attraction is not only its beautiful beaches and culture but also it’s low prices for both holidays and property.
