Those looking to buy property in Calabria or for those just keen to visit, the news that Monarch airlines has opened bookings for its new direct UK to Calabria flights running from Gatwick Airport and Lamezia Therme is indeed welcome news.  Monarch, while not a low cost carrier, is the latest airline to enter the market with Ryanair having  annouced its own new direct flights in the same timeframe commencing March 2nd 2011.  EasyJet is now also rumoured to be commncing flights from winter 2011.
